A Touch o' the Irish - Reading and Irish Harp Music with Mary Lu Perham Local author Mary Lu Perham will read and sign her new book, Gofling, Guys, & Genealogy: An Irish-American in Ulster, treat us to live Irish harp music, and give away some wonderful prizes! When a middle-aged woman from the Midwest travels to her ancestral homeland in Ulster, Northern Ireland, she discovers that her liberated-female-Yank upbringing hasn't prepared her for Irish life - in fact, it gets in the way! Author Kent Holsather Visits the Fantastic Fiction Club Bellingham author Kent Holsather will join the monthly meeting of the Fantastic Fiction Club, a reading group for 10-14 year-olds, to discuss his wonderful book, Henry of York and the Secret of Juan de Vega. There's something odd going on in the house across the street - an old man has disappeared without a trace. Maybe it was the 300-year-old body he kept as a souvenir or the treasure map that some people thought he had, but whatever it was that caused the old man's demise, it's up to 13-year-old detective Henry to find out the truth! All are welcome to join us!

Meet Pacific Northwest author Stephen M. Hannemann today! Siam Was Our Home
In honor of Women's History Month, Mary Bulkley Stanton will present her new book, Siam Was Our Home: A Narrative Memoir of Edna Bruner Bulkley's Years in Thailand in the Early 1900s. In 1903, 20-year-old Edna Bruner impulsively agreed to teach in a girls' school in Siam, now Thailand, where she lived, worked, and raised 7 children for the next 34 years. Edna's daughter Mary compiled her memoirs and photos into an amazing book. Join us for a presentation that offers a glimpse into Thailand's fascinating culture and history through the eyes of a remarkable woman!
